Our Ethos

Ryhope Early Days Nursery as a nursery that is dedicated to children learning through child initiated play. We have designed our setting so that children have the freedom to explore different materials, allow them to find their strengths and let us get to know them better as individuals. This includesmessier play, more natural resources around Nursery and less plastic toys. We want to educate the ‘whole child’ and provide them with life skills. Please be aware your child will get dirty at nursery – but we promise they are learning as they do so!

Who We Are

Here at Ryhope Early Days Nursery we care for children between the ages of 0-5 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. We see ourselves as educators and are an enthusiastic team who love helping the children learn and seeing them grow as people!  We work hard to work with parents as partners and are always seeking to improve our setting.

Open 51 weeks of the year! 8am-6pm!

Good with Outstanding Features - Ofsted October  2016

We are always striving to improve our setting. We are really proud of the progress we have made between inspection reports and as always are diligently striving for Outstanding!

Ryhope Early Days Nursery is committed to safeguarding children and will work cooperatively with other agencies to ensure that any risk to children we work with is acknowledged and responded to professionally and without delay.

Ryhope Early Days Nursery has policies in place which inform the organisation, and individuals within it, how to respond in situations where abuse is suspected and how to work together to promote the welfare of children. Our staff and volunteers are aware through regular training, supervision and informal support of their own duty, and the duty of other statutory and voluntary agencies, to safeguard children and promote effective inter-agency working. This is informed by the Guide to Inter-agency Working to Safeguard and Promote the Welfare of Children, "Working Together'', in accordance with the Children Act 2004 and the Children Act 1989.
